Focus Areas

The Quantum Foundation’s mission is to advance health, education, and community betterment for the residents of Palm Beach County. To achieve our mission, we have organized our work around three Focus Areas -- Health, Education, and Community Betterment -- each described, below.

Health

The Quantum Foundation is focused on improving the health of the residents of Palm Beach County, with an emphasis providing support for:

• Public health efforts that promote individual health maintenance, health promotion, and disease prevention within the general community
• Direct health care services delivered within a high quality, sustainable model that provide acute and chronic care to uninsured and underinsured residents
• Development of a health care services delivery infrastructure

The Foundation does not typically support disease-specific projects and does not support health research projects.

Annually, the majority of Foundation funding is allocated to the Health Focus Area.

Education

The Quantum Foundation is focused on improving the education of the residents of Palm Beach County, with an emphasis on:

• Health occupations education and related support services along the continuum from primary/secondary education through post-secondary education and continuing education
• Healthy sciences education and related support services at the primary and secondary school levels

The Foundation does not provide financial support to replace Department of Education funding.

Community Betterment

The Quantum Foundation is focused on bettering the community of Palm Beach County, with an emphasis on:

• Programs that systematically and collaboratively target root causes negatively impacting the health and well-being of residents

Foundation support in this Focus Area is extremely limited and very competitive. Before submitting a request for funding in the Community Betterment Focus Area, please contact our Program Staff.
