The Quantum Foundation Announces new President
Kerry Diaz to bring nonprofit and philanthropic leadership skills to the Foundation
Today the Quantum Foundation Board of Directors introduced Kerry Diaz as their new President. West Palm Beach native, Diaz brings 18 years of successful leadership experience in the fields of public policy, nonprofit management and philanthropy to the Foundation.
“Kerry is poised to step in as our organization’s leader and make an immediate impact” said Quantum’s Chairman of the Board, Steve Levin. “Her enthusiasm, vision and experience are exactly what the Foundation needs to achieve our mission of advancing the health, education and community betterment for the residents of Palm Beach County.
Most recently, Kerry was Executive Director of Omega of Palm Beach County, a successful nonprofit aimed at improving the health and well-being of Palm Beach County’s older population. Kerry has been a volunteer with many Palm Beach County organizations including; Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park, Turtle Nest Village, Area Agency on Aging, a North Palm Beach Municipal Advisory Board and the Quantum Foundation Grants Committee. She has also been a foster parent in Palm Beach County. Currently, Kerry and her husband, Michael live in Northern Palm Beach County with their three young sons.
Prior to moving back to Palm Beach County, Kerry served as Director of the California Center for Assisted Living, Director of Policy for the California Association for Health Services at Home, Regional Director of the National Environmental Advisory Task Force and was a Legislative Analyst for the Juvenile Justice Committee for the Florida House of Representatives.
Kerry has a Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Villanova University.
Kittleman & Associates, an executive recruiting firm in Chicago, launched a comprehensive, nationwide search for the President in January and received applications from individuals located across the county. “Because of the excellent reputation of Quantum, there was a significant number of interested candidates with a wealth of experience”, according to Rick King of Kittleman who conducted the search. “Kerry’s competition was at a high level and she proved herself to be the best choice”.

The Quantum Foundation was formed in 1995 with the net proceeds from the sale of JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida.. The Foundation began making grants in Palm Beach County in June of 1997. Since inception, Quantum has awarded more than 700 grants totaling over $80 million dollars.
